The Minister of Information Technologies and Communications [TIC in Spanish] gave Italian entrepreneurs and investors in related fields an introduction to the Colombian government’s programs to develop digital content, digital businesses, software and information technologies applied to food and agriculture.
\"We have applications for different areas like education, business and agriculture, and we want people who visit the Colombia Pavilion to know what we are moving forward in the field of technology, and also that we are working to create video games that are competitive on a global level,” stated Juan Sebastián Sandino, Director of Digital Content and Apps.co with MinTic.
One of the programs that attracted the most attention from company representatives participating in the seminar ‘Digital revolution in Colombia: challenges and opportunities’ is the TIC y Agro programme that the Ministry is using to contribute to sustainable agriculture in Colombia through the implementation of ‘custom’ technologies.
The offering of video games in the pavilion is part of the international information technology campaign Colombia Bring it On that the ITC Ministry and ProColombia began last October with the goal of promoting Colombia as a producer of information technology, software and digital entertainment on a global level.
